DANNY ALONSO
FOUNDER of sonic mafia
Upon graduating from Dick Grove, I began my career at Hanna Barbera in Hollywood. Three years later, I started working at the world-class Can Am Studios in Tarzana, CA. where I worked with legendary artists, such as Stone Temple Pilots, Pat Benatar, Dr. Dre, Slash, Snoop Dogg, Kenny Loggins, Herbie Hancock, Eddie Murphy, They Might Be Giants, En Vogue, Chicago, Belinda Carlisle, Frank Black, Jimmy Barnes, Massive Attack and iconic record producers, like Trevor Horn, Brendan O’Brien, Don Gehman, Chris Lord Alge, Ron Nevison, Eddie Kramer, Nellie Hooper, Paul Fox, Gustavo Santaolalla and Dann Huff.
In 1996 I changed gears and ventured into audio post-production, first joining the team at Wildwoods Post and later spending 16 years at Quartermile Films.
I started Sonic Mafia in 2016 as a boutique audio post-production
company, providing clients the ultimate personalized service. To date, I've mixed over 850 broadcast programs.
My passion for music continues to this day in my partnership with the
Acid Dipped Music Library, where I also handle mastering duties.
